Cedar Point People Watching!

I went to Cedar Point yesterday and what else can you do while standing in line for the rides or sitting down and resting after riding the Millenium Force (twice!), but people watch. Granted, I knew I wasn't going to see fashion at it's finest, but it was interesting to see the similarities and variety of clothing options...or lack there-of!

Most people seemed to be wearing cut-off shorts and tee shirts that declared something about them - what sport they play in (baseball, soccer and hockey seemed to be most popular), what college they like, where they are from, and some tees that had phrases on them just too obsene to print here!

Detroit Tigers tees, jackets and hats seemed to be the most popular item; everyone is a Tiger fan when they are winning!

The shoe of choice was the basic flip-flop which had to be removed if you didn't want to loose them as you soared 300 feet into the air on the Wind Seeker! (a ride I could not have been paid enough to go on!)

Overall, I learned that people like to tell others about themselves through their clothing. A tee that says you ran a 5K tells me you are probably a runner or a fitness buff. A tee that says "District Champs" tells me you are an athlete who played on a great team!

If you think about it, what we wear everyday tells people about us. The colors and styles we choose express something about our personality and give people a first impression and a little insight into our lives, however subtle it may be.

So, ask yourself as you get dressed what do you want to say to people through your clothing?

Some of the things I saw yesterday said an awful lot! Like... maybe they need to come to Maggie Anne's and pick out a new wardrobe!

Enjoy your day!
